TECHNICAL DATA OF ELASTOMER MOUDLS
FOR TEXTURING CONCRETE PANELS

Moulds made in polyurethane elastomer with a hardness weighing between 75 and 55 shore A.

The dimensional stability of the moulds can vary depending on the temperature to which they are subjected, the moulds should not be heated over more than 75ºC.

Always store the moulds sheltered from the sun, since ultraviolet rays slightly attack them and a long exposure can seriously damage them. Store them as flat as possible because if left in a bad position, can become deformed.

Do not use release agents in a solvent-base or products that can attack the polyurethane elastomer. We recommend using our special release agent for elastomer Ref. Decodes elasto.

Preparation of the board surface

New or rental shuttering boards have a smooth surface and normally remains of oils or waterproof elements. To ensure a good adhesion of the glue, the surface should be degreased and scratched (ethanol, isopropanol). We advise sanding with radial rubber disc and sandpaper 60. By using this system of roughing down, it is unncesessary degreasing.

Technical data of Colasto a +b

The adhesive Colasto is a two-component product in a base of solvent free polyurethane.The final adhesive is obtained by the chemical reaction after mixing both components in a weight relation of 5:1.
Precast application time (pot life) ,once the product is mixed, will be at 20 ° C from 40 to 70 minutes. The total drying time will be 7 days. 24h Enough resistance for manipulation.
Performance of 200-600 gms (depending on the state of the substrate.)

Application of Colasto a + b:

Both components should be mixed until having a good homogeinity. The adhesive can only be applied during the specified period of time, the pot-life. If the time is exceeded, the mixture cannot be applied due to the viscosity increase. Therefore it is recommended to mix only the quantity that can be applied within a determined lifetime.
Precast pot-life depends on the amount of material and temperature. The pot-life reduces at a higher amount of mixed adhesive and at a higher temperature. By contras,t a decrease of the temperature extends it. If the hardener is excessively added, the result will be a less viscous and more breakable adhesive.
Colasto, can be manually applied using slotted spatula. The adhesive is only applied on one of the surfaces to be joined.
The adhesive should not be in contact with humidity before or during the application as it would react with the isocyanate resulting in the formation of bubbles and foam. Consequently, all containers must be properly protected against humidity.
During the curing process, a good contact between the glued surfacesshould be ensured either by mechanical fastening, pliers, pressing or uniform weight.

POC reusable moulds

Precast concrete pieces such as balconies, staircases, corridors, etc., are made in factories or industrial warehouses. It is only then when they are transported to their destination. Precast concrete pieces are made by pouring concrete into wood, steel or synthetic-material moulds. If a mesh with a POC synthetic-material relief is sealed in the mould, the concrete piece made there gets an anti-slip relief after being removed from the mould. The mesh with POC relief is long lasting because, just as the mould, is reusable for the following concrete emptyings.

Solvent free universal adhesive suitable for sticking the meshes with POC relief on wood, steel or synthetic-material moulds.

APPLICATION

POC adhesive for meshes is suitable for adhering meshes with POC relief to all kinds of bases, such as wood, steel or synthetic-material. This glue dries with the humidity of the environment or with the humidity of the material itself (applicable only in untreated wood). It also does not contain any solvents. The water of the cement does not affect the glue and it is not necessary to use an adhesive border to hold it. After having expanded the POC glue on the base of steel, synthetic-material or lacquered wood moulds, it is necessary to slightly moisten it with a watering can (spraying water on this). Then, you can proceed to stick the mesh in the mould. Information of the proportions: for each kilo of glue (about 2-3 m2 of surface) 10 ml of water is enough (about 150 drops of water) for the glue to harden.

TREATMENT

The base must be free of dust and grease. Put the glue unilaterally on the base using the trowel attached to the container. The thickness of the adhesive layer placed on the surface with the palette must be enough so it can slightly sink in the glue after placing the mesh with relief. It is not necessary pressing or squeeze. After letting it dry for an hour, you can continue using the mesh.

SOME TIPS FOR THE TREATMENT

To learn how the product works is advisable to test it before on a small or on a remaining piece part; - Cut the mesh a little bigger and cut the right size after hitting the mesh; - In steel molds, plastic and lacquered wood glue after having thrown to the base, you have to lightly moisten the glue with a watering can (atomisar water on the glue); - It takes about 25 minutes to process. Start before pasting is no problem and also make some corrections within 25 minutes required for the hardening process. In humid weather (fog and rain) the processing time is less.

STORAGE AND PERIOD OF STORAGE FOR SALE

POC glue for meshes keeps well for 18 months if it has not been opened and if it is saved in a cool, frost-free place. Residues of this material should be delivered to the correspondent places authorised by the local council for the reception of small chemical residues.
