Metal is an excellent material for making all kinds of moulds especially for concrete moulding. They offer a great resistance over the time at a reasonable cost. They are mainly used in moulds for industrial precast and rectilinear or polygonal pieces as to form curves, textures and very specific details it is very difficult and economically costly

It is also commonly used to manufacture metal countermoulds for polyurethane elastomer or silicone moulds, since because of their flexibility they require a rigid support not to be deformed by the concrete pressure.
